1 Review on “Kimchi Club”
I first came across Kimchi Club when I was housesitting in Mount Barker, back before Natural Food Finder was even a glimmer in my eye. I was hunting for more fermented foods and there they were at the farmers market. I tried the organic kimchi and loved it.
Then I got talking to the owner and I loved them even more.
Minka moved from Seoul to Adelaide and couldn’t find a kimchi mild enough for her daughter, so she started making it at home. The neighbours got the early batches. By 2018 it was Kimchi Club, and it’s now a social enterprise creating work for migrant women.
So a jar does your gut a whole lot of good and supports a great cause at the same time. How good is that?!
It’s wild fermented, vegan and gluten free, made in small batches and packed by hand with South Australian vegetables. Some of the range is certified organic, so have a look at the label. It runs from the not spicy Naked Kimchi through to a Hot Hot for the brave, and there are fermented condiments and bulgogi sauces alongside it.
Their words, not mine: their products are alive. Mine tasted like it.
