The Wholefood Pantry Palm Beach is an organic grocery store and cafe at the Nineteenth Avenue Shopping Centre, Palm Beach on the Gold Coast, with an online organic store as well. They state that all of their fruit and vegetables are certified organic and the vast majority of grocery items are certified organic, with a bring-your-own-container bulk foods section, extensive vegan and gluten-free ranges, supplements, eco and low-tox household products. The on-site organic cafe serves coffee, brunch and grain-free, gluten-free and vegan options, and there is an in-store naturopath.

The shop is open Monday to Friday 7:30am to 6pm and weekends 7:30am to 5pm. The cafe closes an hour earlier, Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5pm and weekends 7:30am to 4pm, with hot meals served until 3pm.

    What an absolute pleasure this one was. It’s a lovely store with a cafe attached, and the cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating, so I took my brekky outside into the sun.

    I had the mushroom frittata and a coffee, and they definitely did not skimp on the mushrooms. It was delicious.

    The table I picked had a Love Jar sitting on it. A jar full of little folded up notes that other patrons had written and dropped in. There was no paper and pen, so I couldn’t add one of my own, but while I waited for my food, I read every single one of them. Some made me smile. Some made me laugh. Some hit me right in the heart and brought a tear to my eye. What a beautiful way to spend a Sunday morning.

    Of course, I had a browse in the store afterwards and bought a few things I needed. They run a competition they draw every week, and I was prompted to enter, which I happily did.

    All in all, one of the most memorable visits I’ve done to date. Highly recommend.
